We took the new campervan out for the Maiden Adventure over the Easter long weekend, staying with Bec's family at Bradys Lake. Setting off on Friday afternoon, we had 2 stops along the way because little Callen was a wee bit car sick :( Nevertheless, we made good time and arrived at Bradys Lake before dark. The next 3 days were spent with family, eating chocolate, playing cards, eating chocolate, playing board games, eating chocolate, taking Nelson for a walk and eating chocolate. We also thought about how we can modify the camper to suit our needs for the big trip, including adding a gas cooker, battery power and re-designing the storage cupboards. The nights were pretty cold and on Monday morning we woke up to snow on the ground outside!!! We headed home Monday with stops at Miena (for lunch) and Pine Lake (for Callen again!) But it was a great first trip - we definitely know the camper does well in low temperatures, and rain, and snow. And although we haven't decided on a name for the camper yet, we have decided on some modifications.
