Well I have been very negligent in my updates. We had a very nice train ride from Moscow to St. Petersburg on Wednesday. From the moment we arrived we've been touring all the great places here and have been amazed at the city. The people have been equally incredible and very nice. All in all just a lovely time and today we head to Copenhagen and tomorrow home. Wow! What a quick trip! I am looking forward to shampoo with lots of suds ...I know, very weird! Lo...

A very long and amazing day filled with Russian experiences! We started our day by visiting metro stations, which were very beautiful. Upon disembarking from the train, the hallways are filled with ornate sculptures and tiled inlay artwork. For me the highlight of the day was visiting the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox churches. Just a quick note to say we arrived in Moscow today and went grocery shopping! It was fairly adventurous! No pictures yet, but I'll have some tomorrow.

Water on the moon. That's what I kept thinking as we drove though Iceland. The landscape is striking and stark, yet water emerges from the earth in abundance. At ease in their surroundings, streams and rivers flow in shades of crystal blue. The water is so clear you can easily count every rock on the river bed. I had this crazy desire to plunge my hand into the water, but every time the thought started to take hold, my practical brain said, "it's freakin' ice...

Another beautiful day in Iceland! Happy Birthday Lynne! The sun is shining...I should mention that the sun didn't set until 11 pm and was up at 4 am, so really the sun is always shining. We are headed out of the city to see waterfalls and geysers today, should be fun!
