Headed to the Rockefeller Centre today, where we queued to buy our fast track tickets, we then queued to get through to security, then queued up as everyone had to have their photos taken! We finally managed to go up the 70 stories to the 360degree view overlooking New York city. Central Park was covered in snow which was very pretty. Boxing Day - felt like an ordinary day. Started snowing very lightly this morning and by 1pm was snowing very hard and was settling! Went to Central Park in the snow with Amy and Mike from the hostel, as apparently the park is beautiful this time of year. Christmas Day!!! Woke up this morning to find a stocking on the end of my bed! It was such a lovely gesture from the guys at the hostel! We all mucked in to help make Christmas dinner, which was pretty amazing! We had a few continental dishes from all people staying at the hostel which was great! Ended the day playing cards and watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! Had a really lovely day and an unforgettable Christmas!

Went to Times Square today, which took a while because we found the subway so hard to use! Eventually worked it out! Times Square was amazing....when I first stepped out from the subway I was pretty impressed! The sky scrapers were breath taking - definately a photo moment! Arrived in New York via the Mega Bus. Took a couple of hours from Boston which wasn't too much of a traumatic journey. As we entered the city I wasn't overly impressed as it reminded me so much of London! I didn't expect it to be so cold as I thought Canada was cold enough, but it was so windy!
