J: we arrived to Florianopolis at 1am after a 36 hour bus ride which was tedious as it kept stopping so often, I'm sure it was a 3 hour journey of they didn't stop. So we contemplated sleeping in the bus station as we needed a bus in the morning anyway and I hate paying for a room for only a few hours. But Sam didn't like the look of a guy walking about so we went to a hostel for the night. Fully refreshed in the morning we headed to the east side of the island where the best beaches are, we found a nice hostel at Pria Del Mole beach but the weather wasn't great. We had a stroll about the town and played some cards while enjoying the free Caipirinha's.
S: we decided after looking at the weather forecast to leave quicker than anticipated. We booked flights to Rio as they were the same price and a 16 hour difference. I don't think either of us could face a bus journey quite yet.
We wandered to the beach and it was freezing lol. Ok it was probably about 20 degrees but the wind made it too cold for us. The view was beautiful and there was lots of surfing around.
The next day we packed up, and headed back to the mainland and to catch our flight.
