Couple of train connections and platform worries later and we arrived in vienna yesterday afternoon. Some of our most stressful moments are those few seconds after the train starts moving and you wonder if its the right one, going in even the right direction. We have got it right everytime but it doesnt make it easier, nor do the unhelpful signs or help from platform staff.

We have been lucky and got another IBIS hotel for our 3 nights in Vienna, it works out the same price as a hostel and its nice to have a clean, private hotel room, although Im not expecting the same when we take on SE Asia in a few days.

Vienna is a real mish-mash of streets, millions or bars and cafes with huge great monuments and churches wedged in between. We stumbled upon a film festival, had a bannana and a cherry beer and took in the atmosphere, it was like a mini Cannes.

Footy season starts today so might be time to find some english heads and get behing the Yids and less-likely a Darlo fan.
