Well we arrived at Beijing train station to get the train and there were hundreds of people there was well scarey no signs of english speaking people or signs anyway we made it to our train and it was packed and we found our carriage and beds we went for soft sleeper so would be in a compartment that sleeps 4, we were SO lucky we didnt have to share with anyone even though the train was packed so we had a nice night was noise with people next door so i can imagine our next train trip when we have to share wont be as good the chinese are always hocking up crap and spitting it out its gross and are very loud so cant wait to share with them, i had to use the loo so off i went and there were 2 loos one was in use and the other was free, to my horror it was a squat so i had to go then i found that the opposit loo was western i was gutted but at least i had did it once!!!! We arrived in Shanghai 12 hours later and was so hard finding a taxi then eventually one stopped and told us to get in and hurry we were half getting our bags in and he was half driving was a nightmare then he didnt know where we was going so pulled up to a nice hotel to ask for directions he wouldnt put the meter on and said would cost 50 yen when we knew it only cost 10 so we got out and had to try and get another cab, we did eventually and he dropped us off and told us to walk one way so off we went and an hour later had no idea where we was or where to go felt like crying then we went the complete opposite direction of where he told us and eventually found the hostel, really bad location but the hostel is ultra modern all glass showers and free standing sinks king size bed so its nice, havnt ventured out yet cos its raining and freezing but will keep you all posted on my nightmare in china!!!! Also have taken lots of pics but cant seem to upload them and also my straightners dont work here cos we dont have the right adapter so no straight hair for me aaahhhhhh!!!!

So we have had our adventure in Shanghai not been loads to do but we had a walk down to the bund and crossed the tourist tunnel which is more like a ride in chessington world of adventures loads of mad lights and had a walk along by the river, we also went to the main shopping district which is mad its very busy but there is so much traffic and people hocking up phlegm everywhere is making e sick off to nanjing tomorrow for the night then flying out of there to Xian.
