Hi
Back in the land of internet access at last. I tried to use a pay phone but the international operator wanted my credit card details so I gave up!
Thanks for your messages - Glad to hear all is well at home - Jodes back safe and Bex off on her jollys. Thanks for updating Albert and Dot too!
The drive up to Jasper was just lovely ... we started in Banff with T shirts, got to the icefields and donned our fleeces and coats before climbing up to the glacier - then it was sunny and warm again when we reached our gorgeous log cabin in Jasper. The photos are like something from screen savers R Us - lots of scenery. We went fishing on Sunday at Lake Malinge - I'd like to say we got something - but not a sausage. Although Andy had a struggle with one that got away!! We went out on a rowing boat and the weather has been quite warm @ 22 degrees.
Yesterday we went to see Athabasca Falls and Horseshoe Lake - which is a beautiful deep blue colour and really calm. We ate out in Jasper both nights and the locals are really nice - it has a very laid back atmosphere.
Today we travelled down to Lake Louise and stopped to climb Parker Ridge along the way. There's a picture of us at the top - Andy is nearly being blown away - whilst down at the car park it was a really nice day. Then we called at Peyto Glacier - you can see the glacier melting into the lake and everything is soooo blue.
We're now at the Post Hotel at Lake Louise and its 5pm. We will go and explore the village and find somewhere to eat - we're starving after all that exercise.
More soon
