Day 86-88:

Day 86 - 16/06/17
After a whole day spent travelling due to road closures, I finally arrived in Tortuguero where I checked into my hotel and crashed for the night.

Day 87 - 17/06/17
I woke up early and met up with my tour guide for a canoe tour in Tortuguero National Park. It was an incredible three hours and I was able to see an abundance of wildlife including birds, iguanas, turtles, bats, caiman and lizards. After the tour I headed back to my room for an hour before it was time for a walking tour of Tortuguero National Park. This tour also offered plenty of wildlife including monkeys and insects. After this tour I had some lunch and then went back to my room for a few hours before it was time for a night walk. This tour again offered plenty of wildlife including insects, frogs and snakes. After the night walk I had some drinks with some people I met on my tour and then went back to my room to settle in after an incredible day.

Day 88 - 18/06/17
I woke up and said goodbye to Tortuguero as I got on a boat headed for my next destination.
