Thursday - Visited Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge and Palm Cove... beautiful beaches and walking through rainforest- totally surreal!!! At Mossman I was brave enough to have a swim while Kate chickened out cos she feels the cold too much! It was FREEZING!!! Lol! But it was also nice to cool off! Friday - Travelled from Cairns to Airlie Beach by Greyhound. Not a bad journey actually. Watched films... or rather listened to them to avoid travel sickness! My hostel ...

So, I've been here a day! I arrived safely, if smelly after 36ish hours of travelling! It was 28C yesterday with a nice cool breeze so it felt lovely! I didn't do much, just got settled into my room and got aquainted with the area. My roommates are lovely and we went to tea together last night which was great to have someone show me the ropes! Today Kate (roommate) and I are off to Port Douglas, a beach north of Cairns, so there probably wont be a great deal ...
