My next day's trip took me up through an area of Sydney called The Rocks, up to the start of the Harbour Bridge. I walked out to the first pylon where there is a lookout post and went up to see the view. Afterwards I took the scenic route back to the city where I caught a Magistic cruise around the harbour.
I still had loads of time left after this so I went up the Sydney Tower to see the 360 degree views but this was marred slightly by the windows reflecting off each other!! I also did the OzTrek as this was all free with my See Sydney Card but this just made me feel travel sick!!
After a brief visit back to the hostel I ventured out to experience Sydney at night. It wasn't much different!! However, there was a festival of lights on so the Opera House was lit up.
The next day (Monday) I went on a coach tour and saw Russell Crowe's house, Sydney's first lighthouse and Bondi Beach! I then went around the Chinese Garden of Friendship which was pretty but also boring!! (Sorry mum! LoL!)
Tuesday was spent at Taronga Zoo which was really nice but just reminded me how lonely I was over here on my own!
On Wednesday I went up to the Blue Mountains but it was really foggy so I couldn't see much and I got absolutely soaked through.
My last day in Sydney was spent doing the Bridge Climb, going whale watching and having a look around the opera house. The Bridge Climb was fantastic and well worth the $198!!! and it was nice to see the whales but the Opera House felt like a bit of a waste of time! :-( Sorry Clare W!!
I spent my last night in Sydney having a couple of drinks with Laurie who I met in Airlie Beach which was nice.
