Hi Katie,

Just read your latest postcard-lucky you- all those new experiences sound really great- I think the jokes about your liver are quite justified though- hope you are also drinking some water?? God, I sound like some old woman!! Its only 'cos my short term memory isnt as good as it was- which is no doubt a result of over zealous alcohol consumption in my youth!!

David & I have booked our weekend away- we are going to Venice in October for a long weekend- can't wait- it looks absolutely wonderful- if not a tad expensive!!!

As far as work goes, Im staying here for at least another week- but also have an interview for a perm job at another company next week so things are all good!!!

Anyway, you continue to have a great time- keep those postcards coming- cant believe that you've been gone for so long already!!

Hi Katie! Sounds like yr having a brill time! I'm enjoying 2 wks off at the mo, nothing fancy, just at home catching up on everything. Got to interview my replacement when I go back (finally got promotion -yippee!) but no decent eye candies have applied, oh well, guess I'll just have to do with what's there (oops!). Thinkin of which, Dave & Jacqui had a little girl and called her Hannah, nice name until you put it with their surname......oh well.....there's no accountin for taste! Hiya Kate It seems ages that you left us. I think you should put some offers in for some of these drinking holes you delve into and then we can all have a boozer each bringing in money for us! You are no doubt having the time of your life and would love to be there but I would not be able to keep up with the pace! I think I might have to put an offer in for that liver before paul eats its.Have fun and keep tasting the liquid.

I was of course kidding about Marie giving up drinking!!! but have now agreed with her that I willl vet all her possible suitors (aka - boyfriends). I think it only right and proper.

In addition ; I have trawled the Tinternet (thanks to Mike McArthic) and have found you a new liver!!!
It sits happily in my freezer , awaiting your return. Unfortunately, I feel like I should have Liver and Bacon soon; so maybe it will not survive.

Update from the Castle Kitchen!!!! If you have read Macbeth then you will understand!!!

Hi! Can't be bothered to post a postcard yet so quick update!

I am in Mission Beach at the moment, 2 hours south of Cairns. First couple of days into my Intrepid Tour and there's 5 of us - me, 2 other English girls, Emily and Kay and two Americans, girl called Grace and guy called Brix. So far so good, stayed in some really nice accommodation so far, the hotel in Cairns was beautiful and so luxurious after staying in hostels! Got my own chalet in Mission Beach which is also lovely. Last night me and the English girls bought a 4 litre box of white wine and drank it all in 4 hours!!! Then headed to a local bar for beer and got so drunk. Taking it easy today! We leave here tomorrow and head to Airlie Beach and sailing round the Whitsunday Islands on Saturday, so excited as lots of wildlife to see - sharks, dolphins, snakes, spiders, possibly whales! Will put a postcard up in the next few days when there's more exciting stuff to tell apart from getting wasted!

Marie - I think I may need a liver transplant when I get home, especially as Kay is a big drinker and needs a partner! Miss ya too mate, only 11 and a bit weeks until I'm back!

Paul - You're right about me drinking, but the scenery is way nicer out here than The Castle!!!

Russ - good to hear from you, thought you had forgotten me!! I am good, not homesick anymore but miss Carl like mad but I am sure you're looking after him!!! Looking forward to seeing you in November, can't believe I've been away for so long!

Helen - I hope the job works out for you - something I am dreading when I get back, who wants to work!? At the moment I have THE perfect life and wish I could do this forever but have all my friends and family with me! Let me know where you and David go on hols, and say Hi to David for me!

Oh and i think u know that Paul is being cheeky about the "no drinking thing"!!!

I need 2 keep drinking so that i can keep up with u when u get home!!
