Well hello there everyone,

Just a quick word to let you all know that I have in fact arrived in Sydney and am still alive if not at all happy! There are more people in this city than there are in all of New Zealand and it feels weird to be in a city again when I've spent so long in small towns and pretty green places. Is also very hot. However, ironically this is a country that has had four years of drought and the day I arrive, what happens, why it rains of course for I am Katie bringer of precipitation to the world!

I did manage within hours of arriving to sort out my mail holding, pick up my mail, use free internet, set up a tax file number, open a bank account and pick up a lot of numbers to call about jobs although I can't do anything about these jobs until Monday when my accommodation situation will be getting a little on the desperate side! I also started the process of booking my trip back to New Zealand. Yes that's right people I'm going straight back and the reason is this, I am in love! Who's the lucky man I hear you cry, but you are mistaken, it's not a man, but a country that has stolen my heart!

I actually have to go now because the computer is about to cut me off, but I feel that I've effectively updated you for now and will write a lovely long entry as soon as more happens and I have more time on the internet.
