The first thing you notice about Cambodia, is their complete disregard for the highway code. Driving on a designated side of the road seems to be optional rather than mandatory. There are very few traffic lights and a persons right of way is played out through a continuous game of chicken. That becomes a very real game when it's you and your nearest and dearest on the back of a tiny tuk tuk, and the opponents a two tonne lorry. With eyes tightly shut was how we spent most of our journey's in Cambodia!

We settled into our hostel in Seam Reap after an arduous 12 hour coach/bus/taxi/boarder/taxi/coach/tuktuk journey from Bangkok, and prepared ourselves for the 4am start to arrive at Ankor Wat for sun rise. The pictures can't do it justice, but there's a couple uploaded to try. We walked around the grounds after the sun came up. Stumbled upon a secluded area and bumped into a monk who told us how he sits in the window of the temple everyday to read and meditate.

Next stop Phnom Penh, which proved to be a real eye opener...
