Cesky Krumlov is to be reached by catching a train, a train, a bus, a train and another bus before walking. it was one of our most draining travel days due entirely to the complexity of the whole deal, though we shared our frustration with fellow aussies Mooks and Havs with whom we later shared blood shots, beer, wine and cocktail searches.
It is a beautiful town, set amongst the forest, river and hills of the Czech Republic. the ony things to do there are eat, drink and float on the river. the medieval castle can be viewed from all over the city, so it was interesting to go into it and see what was domineering over us, but also protecting us. we found where they filmed parts of A Knights Tale. but sadly, we didn't find Heath Ledger.
It was a nice place to relax and take a short break from the trail and find a place not completely overrun by tourists (although our hostel proved to be a bit of crazy tourist meeting point). people coming to the czech republic must come here.
