Today was a wonderful day! I started off with a Skype to Camille, then set off to Oxford Street for some shopping and to find one of the most delicious cupcake shops! I had a chocolate and cheesecake cupcake. YUM!! (To say the least)
Next was a train to Covent Garden. This was a bad idea. I should have just walked as the Covent Garden train station has two exits. A lift or 400 steps... I took the steps... At least the Covent Garden Markets were beautiful and I was able to find a nice cafe to sit down in and enjoy my cupcake :) now I was rejuvenated and able to shop my way through the markets. This is a quaint place that everyone must visit when they go to London.
My feet next took me to Leichester square where I had to go into M&M world. Why wouldn't you right? Then walked to the national gallery to see my favourite painting by Van Gogh.
Rejuvenated once again, Tate Modern was my next destination, but after crossing one of the London bridges, I was in a Christmas Market. Just a small pop up market and it was lovely. Tried a new raspberry hot chocolate which was perfect to warm me up in the coooold weather.
To end the night, I bought a new cardigan and coat and then had dinner at a Lebanese restaurant with my cousin.
This was one of the best days I've had in London! It's was perfectly freeing to just let my feet be my guide and not have any times set to be somewhere to do something.
