Hi all, and welcome to what is likely to be the last blog! Last time I wrote we had moved into our flat in Curly and were still job searching. After 6 weeks I landed a contract with AmEx at Darling Harbour, Sydney and got back into the work routine. This was great because it enabled us to be able to cover the bills and have some fun nights out in very expensive Sydney whilst Steve carried on looking for a sponsored job. Plus a nice prop up for my ego too ;0) ...

Well we got tired of India, so after a day trip to the Taj Mahal (which was fabulous), we sacked it off and headed for Nepal. Arriving in Kathmandu we stayed near Thamel which is the tourist heart of the city. We did 2 treks during our time in Nepal, firstly to Lang Tang which is north of Kathmandu and is a 6 day trek into the national park. Our second trek was to Annapurna Base Camp - Annapurna is the 10th tallest mountain on earth, and base camp is at 4,200 m...

Namaste from Rajasthan! We reluctantly left Goa last Saturday and flew via Mumbai to Jodhpur - the 'blue city' of Rajasthan. It's called the blue city as the houses are painted blue which was historically the colour of the Brahmins or priestly cast in Indian society. Today it attracts the tourists and keeps the mosquitos away. As well as the blue houses, Jodhpur is famous for it's fort - Mehrangarh Fort which sits above the town. Sorry it's been a while since our last update. We had Christmas in Namibia and New Year in South Africa then on to Cape Town for a few days where our Africa trip officially ended. Said goodbye to some fond new friends. Cape Town was great and we hired a car to drive up the Cape Peninsula to Cape of Good Hope.
