Alright today was more of a low key day. And now that I'm caught up I'll try to fill you in on some of the things we've learned/experienced when it comes to driving across this beautiful country. 1. Signage is so important and so underused. I can't begin to count how many roads we've encountered with no sign at all while driving and walking. Leaves lots of time for guesswork and re-routing. 2. I woke up around 7:30 and went up to the lounge to blog and watch the waves. Around 10am Newfoundland time we docked and were on our way. We opted to drive to Cape Spear after a quick stop at Wendy's in Mount Pearl for lunch. It was foggy when we arrived, but after touring the lighthouse and surrounding bluffs a lot of the fog had lifted. No whales were seen. But a beautiful spot nonetheless! Up early to prep for the drive to the 16 hour ferry! We stopped at the Atlantic Superstore to stock up on affordable food for the day and the ferry trip. We listened to more podcasts (Serial this time) and headed out to Cape Breton! It was a 4.5 hour drive to North Sydney and we had to arrive for 3:30pm in order to hold our spot on the ferry. We survived our night in the murdery hotel! Went to see what the free breakfast was and opted to skip it. We started our morning with a trip to Magnetic Hill to witness the magic that is gravity. I remember visiting when I was younger, and it was just as cool now. Especially since I was the driver this time. From there we headed for Halifax which is about a three hour drive. Took a quick pit stop in Oxford to see the big blueberry! And were again on our way....
