Okay I came for work...to visit prisons!!!! Not exactly the usual sightseeing but I still managed to see some of the city sights and dine in the restaurant high up in the tower Ferry across to Devonport Sailing in the harbour

My dislike of flying was only enhanced by the landing in Wellington.....windy city indeed!!! Working again...visiting prisons and forensic disability facilities. managed to fit in some of the sights and took the cable car ride

the beach here is magnificent...pristine white sand and I think they have the clearest water I have ever seen

thank goodness I can still remember a bit of my school girl French...ably assisted by my son who has had the most fantastic French teacher....so we were able to catch the local bus and have a good look around
