Relaxing on the Costa Blanca. Hot and sunny although we gather England is enjoying the start of an Indian summer. Yesterday we spent the afternoon on the sandy beach at Denia and swam in clear warm blue sea. Its a struggle to do enough exercise to justify the long lazy lunches. Yesterday we bought some fresh squid, plenty for dinner for two for a quid. I needed Simon to tell me what to do with them really but very tasty seasoned and fried, but not sure i prepared them properly so we had a ciproflox chaser just in case and so far no ill-effects apart from Martin convinced he is sprouting tentacles. That night a praying mantis flew in and we managed to catch it and put it back outside. It was the first time we have seen one outside of a zoo or david attenborough programme. The cover pic is taken from our table on the beach at Javea where we have enjoyed a paella for lunch. Not sure i am going to be able to leave my chair for a couple of hours yet.
