Travel Log
A very long journey via Newark New Jersey, to San Jose softened by a glass at a wine bar in Newark airport. Got here near midnight and today we set off north to a private nature reserve via a few local villages so our first proper view of the country and a chance to get used to the local spanish accent.
Rather bravely, or foolishly I had my hair treated to withstand the 100% humidily promised in the forests, but am currently scared to wash it as no idea what the result will be. If I can I`will upload a photo. Am so different from my passport thye have all done a double take but at least they let me through.

Shari I just threw in the towel on the hair which seemed to grow daily - kind of like a very fuzzy mushroom. The first thing I did when I got home was find the blow dryer and flat iron.
Kate still have to buy blowdryer and flatiron and learn how to use them. Maybe i just wont wash it for 2 weeks!
Sally I at to look twice before I Realise it was you. Jane one of the Secretary's always had her hair treated before a trip, as did Nathalie. Well time will tell ! I must say its rather nice. How long are you away for. We are off to Vietnam on wed for two weeks, so we will have to make a date to meet up soon after. Look forwards to your next update, love to you both Sally and Clive x
