Farewell to Fernie…. Our time in Fernie has come to an end. We've enjoyed our stay on Elkview Drive with the house full of animals. We will miss little Wicket (the Star Wars dog), Cayoosh (Fat boy) and Tat Cat. But most of all Tat Cat; a skinny gray cat who's taken to Tim and who I refer to as Mistress. Fernie turns out for their 15 min share of the Olympic dream… I had never seen the main street of Fernie so packed full of people. It was a cool morning, but most of Fernie had hopped out of bed early to see the Olympic flame pass through their little town. First impressions..... It was an early start to the day and a long bus ride that eventually brought us to the small town of Fernie in British Columbia.
