This has now become like our own little chat room....
Not much to say other than I am flying to Florida a week tomorrow and am very excited. Kate your flat looks like Primark on a Saturday afternoon with all the piles of clothes to be packed but I am convincing myself that is only temporary.
Plus 3 more days in work until I am officially unemployed which also makes me very happy oddly enough.
Everytime I speak to your Mum she is worrying that you and Em are going to get mugged, taken hostage or abducted by aliens so please for all of our sakes (and more importantly your Mum's sanity) be careful.
It is me, you, Si and Em sat on a table at the wedding so that will be cool; Izzy is on the kid's table as she is nearly 2 now! Must try to stay more sober than last time I was a bridesmaid - I still cringe at the thought of that.
See you in just over a week. xxxx
Mum
In case I get done for "child neglect" I thought I'd better send you a message hopefully only once, could do without the little digs at my computer skills (Claire and Saga member Les). The weather here sounds just like yours.,though it did stay nice for Craig and Leizel's wedding. Rose hopefully will be able to relax for a while now. By the way "Guys and Dolls" was fab you would have loved it, what a fantastic male line up and couldn't they dance. I had your Email about your card and will re read it to see if I can help. Please be careful love, I really will be happier when you reach Florida. Missing you loads, Mum.
PS. I feel we're all getting to know one another better since we started sending you messages. Goodnight Nat, Les, Jools Claire, Rose, etc.

Best book ever - but very disturbing and not exactly holiday reading!
Sorry to hear about the food poisoning...not nice but it has to happen when you're travelling otherwise it's not proper.
Have fun in Roswell and let us know if you uncover any secret UFO missions :-)
xx
Me! (A Bit Warmer...)
Thanks Jools...forgot to say - I read We Need to Talk about Kevin...brilliant book! Disturbing but brilliant!
We're now in Roswell. So we're going to go and have a look for some aliens! You'll all be glad to hear that I've had my first bout of food poisoning...Damn you chicken fajitas!
Miss and love you all loads

Thought I'd post a little message before the weekend! Work has been manic this week hence why I haven't written...I'm SO glad it's Friday!!! Glad you're still having a lovely time, but I can't believe it's cold. Have your fingers gone blue yet?!
Texas is a very weird place...when we went to Dallas there was never anyone around and then we went to Fort Worth which was cool, but full of real cowboys, which I found a little disturbing!
Have a wonderful weekend Krate...and everyone else!
Lots of love xx
Me! (Cold!)
Well, it's lovely to have messages from some of my favourite people...God knows where my mother's gone. Haven't heard from her in what feels like weeks! Yesterday Emily and I went to Wal Mart and bought hats, gloves and scarves (no, really!) New Mexico is bl**dy freezing! We appear to be following some sort of freak winter weather conditions east. Don't tell Kristie, Nat, but there's been storms and tornedo conditions in Florida! Hopefully it'll sort itself out in the next couple of weeks...if not, I might be going to get a San Tropez before I meet up with y'all for the wedding (that was my concession to being in America - and speaking American) They all declare our accents to be very 'cute' and seem fascinated to know all about our trip. We've ended up in some fairly strange places, but we feel safe enough and we're well on our way to Florida. At the moment we're in Santa Fe which is a really sweet little place, and in the next few days we should be hitting Texas...which seems to be the place Americans pull a bit of a face about - a bit like Newport for the people of South Wales I guess (only bigger!) We're on our way to hitting the 4000 mile mark already so I think that our estimation of how many miles we're going to do was a bit off...it's more likely to be closer to 7000 I reckon! Oh well, the driving here is easy and we do 300 miles without any difficulty at all.
For those of you asking about the sailors, the photo is already on here - the one with the Hooters waitress?? They weren't actually in their uniforms at the time!
Anyway, better go. I'll be updating the journal when I get a chance.
Miss and love you all loads!

Well Kate this notice board is certainly interesting reading!!! Thought I would join this list of subscribers and I will be making sure that I do not post this one 4 times as I'm sure your Mum wants to retain the title!!
Seems like you are having a fab time and I am certainly jealous of the lovely warm weather you are experiencing - still, rain can be a comfort when you are tucked up in bed with your cup of warm milk and the tv remote! Well - I have to give the right impression now I am 50!
We had a great day on my birthday and I must report your mother was on her best behaviour and kept all her clothes on - and very smart she looked too! Nat - however...did keep her clothes on but did perform like someone out of Fame - extrordinarily - considering she has been crippled up with a bad back for a week before!!! The power of drink! Still she was suitably mortified on Monday at being so out of control and a mother of a young child - I could say nothing....been there, done that...luckily we both have husbands that can take over!!!!
Hope all is still going well and that you are listening to your Mum and thinking safe at all times - even when plastered!!!! Take care you.......
Love Les (official Saga member!) xx
Nat
Hello All,
Sorry Kate but to be honest I log onto your journal to find out what is going on with everyone else too these days. Brings joy to my little dull life to hear about other people's holidays and parties as well as turning green with envy about your exploits.
Glad you had a good holiday Claire, very envious of the whole tan thing though. We are off to Florida in just 2 weeks and I too have hit the electric beach (if that means sunbed - made me chuckle) to try and remove the blueness from my skin.
So far I have more freckles but no less blueness, however, due to the failure of the crash diet I will perservere with the sunbeds in a bid to offend fewer people when I finally don my bikini. Czyrk I am expecting you to have a least a bit of a tan by now albeit I am sure in patches which is kind of your and my speciality.
That's it for now, see you in just 2 weeks.
See ya butty.
Nat xxxx
P.S Izzy still recognises you I pointed at your photo and there was no delay. She talks loads now - you will be shocked. x
Clairey (Again)
Me (again - can tell my work is exciting, twice in one day!!)
Have finally managed to figure out what you are doing with the website - yeah me!!! Read the bit about Dave (babies on sticks, babies on sticks!) Sorry to hear you were ill with food - bet you were relieved and gutted! Also managed to look at the pictures! Not so glam as a building in the stages of being demolished - they have managed to get rid of a whole level today.....I shall keep you posted..........
Tanned Clairey!
Buenos Dias boyo!
Sounds like you are having an absolute ball over there stateside!! And also that Nat and your mom (hello you two!!!) are falling to pieces without you! (Still worried about the EDCLE thing Jane!?!)
Cuba is fab (if anti-American, full of smelly people due to lack of toiletries, and lacking people with the ability to cook hot food!) Am well brown, but in the 2 degree temperatures we are experiencing here will soon be white again - hello electric beach! I can't seem to get the handle of your photos, so will just have to look forward to reading descriptions - (maybe just email me, rather than telling your mum too!)
Hope big bad D was well and I note there are no stories as yet (too risky?!) I hope they involve lots of kebabs - extra gross mit scharfs kase! Met up with Jono and his Aussie chap before I hit the beach - I shall hassle him to post messages!
Gutted that you are having fun, and I am in Glasgow with the excitment of watching a building being pulled down!! YEAH!
Love ya baby

Hi Dan
Glad you found my journal. I was just thinking yesterday that I should get your email address from Em to send you the link. Hope everything's good in work. We're off to see the Grand Canyon tomorrow, it's all good here!
