The day we hit Texas felt like a real milestone, and something of a challenge. We had started preparing ourselves for some serious driving as we were aware of the scale of the state and also that time was moving on and the Florida wedding was approaching. We set Del Rio as our destination, not because either of us had heard of it, but because it got us quite a way into Texas and set us on course for San Antonio, which was one of the places we had on our list to visit.

The day in itself was one of the least eventful, but it was also one of the most enjoyable. We were both really upbeat and enjoyed the 400 mile journey, jumping out to take photos at the stateline and singing very loudly to the random selection of songs on my ipod - from Take That to Bugsy Malone...can't go wrong with a bit of Bugsy!

And it was my Nana's birthday - Happy Birthday Nana xxx
