Once on the boat to Koh Phangan we checked the lonely planet to check out some accomodation. We didn't want to be directly on the full moon Haad Rin Beach as we had heard there are often alot of thefts on the full moon party night so we stayed just around the corner at Leela beach front bungalows. This beech was amazing, absolute paradise. It was quiet and secluded, and the bay was beautiful with a huge wooden decking pier around the coast to another hotel which looked really classy and allowed you to get some great views and pics of the bay. We instantly knew we were going to like it here...

Once settled we all went for a swim, the only down side was that the sea bed was rocky but it wasnt a problem. We played some ball and met our next door neighbours. Adrian the lad was sound and we clicked with him straight away but the man can talk!! haha and we met two girls who were nice but a little quieter. That afternoon we just chilled on the beach all day and soaked up the sun and then we all agreed to go out to the pre warm up pool party up the road which is meant to be really good. Our neighbours got on it very early so we went to get some dinner and then came back to meet them for some pre drinking at the bungalows by whcih time they were on their way, with the biggest size drinking buckets we had seen so far, it was hilarious. We sank our drinks a bit to quickly haha and then mooched into town. Kate, jez, Wilba and I wanted to hit a few bars before we went to the party but Adrian wanted to go straight there so we ended up meeting them there after. Our 35 year old other mate Sten (brilliant bloke) came with us and we hit some Changs back, having a great time. Once a the pool party we got some more buckets and were straight onto the dance floor for a boogie lol. It was a really good night but we all drank to much and I'm proud to say I was the only one who wasn't sick. The next day we didn't look pretty!!

The next day again was spent on the beach recovering which was fun, and then we went into town to do a bit of shopping and to get some dinner. Across the road from where we had dinner most nights there was an amazing restaurant that made chocolate snicker and ice cream crepes, so clearly we spent alot of time in there as well, while watching a bit of friends on the t.v. Another place that got abused was chicken corner, which made awesome roast chicken baquettes and a restaurant that made the nicest Massaman curry's going, which Kate and Jez have eaten alot of since they discovered it. Anyway the rest of the night before the full moon party was spent playing cards and we were knackered so got to bed about 12pm so we were fully ready for the full moon party the next night, plus we were getting up early to get out on the mopeds to see the island. Adrian however decided to go out that night as well and the next day he got up to come out with us early, knocking back red bull, very little water and had his top of all day in the sun. We told him it wasnt a good idea and he ended up with really bad sun stroke that night and missing the full moon party which was a real shame.

Anyway, during the day we drove to check out some waterfalls which werent great and Wilba and Adrian got an elephant ride up in the mountains which they loved. On the way up to the elephant trekking we even saw a huge snake in the middle of the road, but it was injured and look in serious pain. However there was no way we were going near that thing lol as it looked like it could have been quite a dangerous snake.

As it took 40 mins for there trek Jez, Kate and I agreed to meet them at the waterfalls which were shockingly small, therefore we headed to our next destination of what we thought was bottle beach which is meant to have great snorkelling. However we all got lost and ended up on another beach and found out that to get to bottle beach you have to get a boat and there were no more running that day which was annoying. But we found another beach with some exclusive resorts on where we ended up spending the day and having some lunch on, which was still a very nice beach.

On return to our beach we met some other neighbours and ended up having a huge game of cards with them as well from Birminghammmm and all decided to go out together that night to the party. We went into town to get some grub in us and to get some glow in the dark body paint and then returned to the bungalows to get ready. We all met in the bar later with loads of other people and had some drinks while painting each other. Kate ended up doing nearly everyones as they really liked the patterns and designs she was making, however we all looked like complete tools at the end of the day lol. Once sorted it was time to go to the beech and everyone was really having a great time, the atmosphere was great! We went to a couple of bars on the beech knocking back some buckets and then got split up for quite a while. The full moon party was really good but it wasn't as packed as I thought it might be, you could easily walk down the beach without bumping into people but it was awesome. Once reunited we had some more drinks and watched the sun come up, which I always find horrible after a night out haha!! The guys enjoyed it though and I fell asleep in the sand, where they found it funny to cover me in sand and get people to do random things to me, the bu**ers!!! Anyway around 7 we went to get some food and then it was time for bed, we were dead. I don't think I can party as hard as i use to! They have an after moon party going on all day after, which some crazy people do but there was no way I was going to that as well, I was dead. I don't know how people do it, I can think of nothing worse that drinking for 2 days solid without sleep, so we called it a day and slept the whole day until 4.30pm that afternoon. That night we knocked back some dinner and got ourselves another crepe, calling it a day as we had to get a boat and bus to phuket the next day for a full days journeym absolutely horrible!!
