Hello!
Dont worry we're not in macedonia it just sounded nice...
Still in milan and we have had a rather relaxing day indeed! We managed to emerge for approx 11 which is very good may i add, and i had the pleasure of having my left over pizza from last night for breakfast =D! Kate, the pig, ate the whole of hers yesterday so she was back on the nutella and bread!| Yes we had stone baked pizzas in milan...if the chef and owners wern't chinese it would have been idillic... We ate in a park which turned out to be the common 'hang out' for all of the mosquitoes in central europe which was lovely and so much flapping and waving of arms ensued from me. Kate saying "oh my god, you look like a pleb, they'll bite you anyway..." THIS MORNING...Kate: "ive been bitten loads..." HA! Not a mark on me and i looked dead cool doing my interpretive dance i have names "The sting".
Back to today, we had a shower and dried ourselevs with our CLEAN, DRY towels =D! We are actually on the border of clean as for the past two weeks we have been drying ourselves with towels that are dirtyer (is that a word) than we were when we stepped intoi the shower...we have tried honest, they are beyond repair. The towels will up for exhibit upon our return (in suitable environment) and smellings will be at a charge of £2 a go (the kate and mel blog does not take liability for any health related issues resulkting from smelling. Smellers are reminded that they visit upon their own accord and smelling is not reccommended to young children, people who have respiratory or heart conditions, people who have skin condtions, people who have particulaly acute sense of smell, the eldely, the young, those inbetweeners of indeterminable age and everyone else. For eservations call my mum and dad. ) We then ventured out into milan...fashion capitol...Kate was sporting a particularly daring ensamble consisting of her high waisted shorts (good for defining...everything) and stappy top. Myself, a pair of adidas shorts and strappy top. We fitted right in. Yeah we found ourselves on the expensive street where everyone looked marvellous (and knew it mind) and no one at all smelt like cheese. We got on with it though and our luck has clearly changed as...
We approached a fountain...we saw... splashing..."what is it?" we wondered...It turned out , to our horror, to be a pigeon, drowning. We thought, not again, not another bird..THEN (music goes happy, triumphant) AN ITALLION STALLION ARRIVED! Yes! Cream shorts, socks and sandals, he plunged his right arm in after the troubled animal, decided "nah thats not going to work.." , plunged his left arm in as well, he battled against the fountain and crisp packet also present at the scene and retrived the bird! He then lovingly dropped the bird upon the ground, shook his hand in mock disgust, carved a Z into the rock with his sword, and walked off, cape billowing... The pigeon sat, gathering itself and dried off, when we returned from our wanderings of the castle he was looking good as new!
We have found english books in the hostel which means that after all of that excitement we are relaxing, preparing ourselves for the mammoth journey tomorrow...
Last train journey woop!
Cheerio for now!
