Well now, we have just spent a day in Wales. While there are no Orcas here, there are beautiful landscapes and castles. The boat ride from Ireland to Wales contained incredible views, and less sea-sickness than I figured, so it was a win for me!

When we arrived in Wales, we then travelled to the Beaumaris Castle! Walking through the top of the castle was so beautiful even if I almost was attacked by a mother bird lying on her nest.

Once we got inside the center of the castle onto the green, there was a little fair going on that showcased medicine, owls, weapons and leather goods from the 1600's, with all the workers in costume. I added a video that included a small demonstration of the fighting and weapons used in the time period. It's quite funny but also interesting to learn about.

Then my group and I headed into the center of town and saw folk performers in full costume and instruments went to the Welsh post office and tried our first bit of Welsh food. The weather was less than perfect, but I am getting a lot of use out of my raincoat let me tell you!

I would love to talk about the beauty of Snowdonia, but I managed to fall asleep and stay sleeping the entire bus ride through the stunning country of Wales. Go me!

Finally we are back at the hotel and I'm making great use of the free Wifi. I've gotten over 20 texts from my mom, so I'll go ahead and give her a call. We're going tonight to the downstairs area of the hotel to see a karaoke lounge singer perform… so… it may be a catastrophe.
