Hey guys,
We arrived in Penang a few days ago having been in the cool climate of the Cameron Highlands it was straight back to 30 degree plus heat! Our first few days we just did the normal sight seeing around the various Hindu Temples that are scattered around the city and also checked out Little India which is bustling with street sellers and Bollywood music blasting out everywhere!
Yesterday we headed to the beach, a place called Batu Ferringhi! What looked to be a cloudy day at the start turned into a scorcher and having chilled on the beach for a few hours it was time for some pineapple juice and a cheap curry!!
Today we took a trip on the bus inland to take a train up Penang Hill, which is 800m plus above sea level, so high your ears pop as your on your way up! Plenty of amazing views at the top and we even spotted a few monkeys whilst up there!
After we got the train back down we decided to walk the 20 minute or so to Kek Lok Temple......this place is the biggest temple in Malaysia and it was really good to walk around it!
After a long day we're chilling back at the hostel and heading out to a place which has ''chocolate cake to die for'' so it says in the Rough Guide!!!
Laters!!!
