Got to Singapore easy enough. No trouble getting out of the airport and catching a taxi to the hotel. Once there I had a lovely hot shower and slept on a really comfy bed, such a change to India. Nepal wasn't so bad. I really enjoyed the people, the massage and the food. Sleeping was a problem though.
Today I decided to go for a walk down Orchard Road, as if I hadn't walked enough yet on this trip. Along the way met some lovely English speaking tourists as well as finding the Visitor Information Centre, buying a ticket to the hop on hop off bus/boat to save a bit of walking. Some sightseeing from the bus also. Went to little India, Chinatown and Sentosa Island. Stange thing, I did some shopping in Singapore now who would be suprised at that? No one I tell you!! I think tomorrow I will go up to the Skypark and see what I can see from the 57th floor, Now the tallest building in the office district of course is 100 stories high. So its not the tallest but they don't have a swimming pool do they, haha.
I also ate Seafood in Singapore, and had a Singapore Sling all by the Marina looking across to the Sky Park. Tonight I am going out to the Night Safari. So of course I will be back late. Funny I think I need a holiday from my holiday.
Been on the boat travelling around and on the Singapore Flyer. Its a big Ferris Wheel like structure though the largest in the world. moves so slow you wouldn't even be aware its moving. I know there is a song about Singapore just can't think of it right now.
So clean here, so many fines for doing anything wrong. Its no wonder they have such a low crime rate. Even ladies feel safe enough to walk the street to where they are going. I won't tell my mother yet that I would walk home from the night safari tour at nearly 11pm at night. But there are plenty of people around and Police are visible.
Night for now, one day I will catch up on the missing days on the blog.
