Well arrived safe in Kathmandu (yet the song about Singapore keeps jumping into my thoughts, it can wait thats another 4 or so days) after an early start 4:00am and leave at 4:30 only a few minutes to the airport. I got through check in and customs without too much delay. I would not have liked to left it any later.
The journey was un eventful, only minor turbulence at one point. And was over quickly around 75 minutes. Getting out through customs was no harder either. I can't see it being that easy at Singapore or Melbourne.
As you can see from the photo it's not much different to India. And from the outside the hotel doesn't look especially glamorous. But it has a comfy clean bed and a clean hot shower, more than I can say about one hotel in Gwalior we stayed at.
Been relaxing today and finishing the book I bought at Delhi airport.

I will get and finish this by filling in the blanks one day. Tomorrow is NewYears Day here in Nepal so the shops are shut and there will be big celebrations. Not going anywhere on my own at night, so dinner will be in the hotel here and out and about tomorrow with flying over Mount Everest on Monday amongst other things
