Hi Guys I am now back from my 3 day 2 night camping trip at Fraser Island, it was quite an experience! Fraser Island is basically the biggest sand island in the world you go over and drive around in your 4 wheel drive on the sand and camp out at some gorgeous places. There were 11 of us in our group, and we all got on really well and everyone worked really hard cooking and putting up tents etc apart from 2 German people who didn't do anything and really got on everyones nerves, oh well! It was really good fun driving on the sand, hard work too though as you sometimes get stuck and have to get out and push which is very hard on the HOT sand. Our first day was a bit of a nightmare as at the hire company they give you everything you need and pack it up for you, but they didn't tell us that the water container they had given us was empty, for our first day and night we didn't have any water apart from what we had brought with us from the hostel in a water bottle. This wasn't good as it was so hot and we were all so dehydrated, Got really worried about Em at one point she was really bad, nearly fainting. There were also 5 other tour groups who had the same thing so as you can imagine there are alot of people who are going to be complaining! It was good fun apart from this though, we swam in some gorgeous lakes, just like getting into a bath, it was so clear to, as you aren't allowed to go in the sea because of sharks! Camping was good, we had lots of fun. It will be nice to sleep in a bed again tonight though, im kind of getting sick of camping it really isn't me! i took quite alot of photos and will try to get them up asap. My best bit was Lake Mackenzie, it was lovely there, also Lake Wabby was really nice, you had a rainforest on on side the lake them massive sand dunes on the other side, which you can roll down into the water. My favourite part is still the Whitsunday sailing trip though, dont think anything will beat that. Im going to be doing a sky dive soon though so that should be cool! Hope everything is ok at home and your all having fun at work he he, i shouldn't say that though as i will have to get another job when i get back, yawn! Karen xxxxx
