Well we are in Byron Bay at the moment, we have been here for 3 nights and have only one left as we leave tomorrow for Sydney. After leaving Surfers (which i was very upset about, loved it there!) we had to stop for the night in za place called Nimbin. I cannot explain to you just how weird this little town is, its a hippy town and everyone there is very "chilled out" basically alcohol is not permitted in Nimbin but drugs are......like i said very odd place! luckily we were oonly there for one night as there really isn't that much to do, we went to the bush theatre in the evening, which is a cinema but you sit in deck chairs, its all very relaxed! The next day we arrived in Byron and managed to get a nice hostel even though we had forgot to book on opps. We meet upi with Claire and Rachel on our first night went out for dinne rand then to a club called Cheeky Monkeys, it was a proper cheesy night club, was a good laugh though. The beach here is really nice, its so packed with surfers, its really good fun to watch them all, i dont know how they manage to stay up on theire boards! We have decided to get lessons in Bondi beach now as a friend of ours is going to do it with us. I really hope im good at it as it looks like so much fun! There isn't really that much to do here in Byron, its basically just a surfers town, its very nice though, with good pubs you can go to in the evening and sit out on the grass and chat, everyone here seems very friendly. It is also very expensive here, it has the most expensive supermarkets in Australia, very annoying when your trying to not spend to much. We leave tomorrow moring(mon) and then we have a few boring days on the bus till we get to Sydney, we dont get there till wednesday :-( Will update with news of Sydney when i can lots of love Karen xxx
