Dear Sharon and Tony, I finally found your web address!!!! I have been wondering how you two have been. I see that all is quite good. Are you still on the boat? Still having a good time? I'm so glad to see that you two are safe and sound. As for me, I had a terrible time at the apts. and had to move.( floods, no lights and not much help) Iam now in Foster City and really love it. Didn't think I would be happy but it was a perfect move. I will keep in touch and if you get a moment please e-mail me back. Steve says "hi". Take care, Mariquita

We did the three week whirlwind tour of Europe with Tammy and Chad. Great fun. Chad's feet are worn down to nubs now and Tammy and I did a fine job of shopping through the countries. We began in Paris. Had a night time picnic on the grass by the Eifel Tower while he light show was going on. Then we went to Amsterdam where we made it safely without getting run down by a bike. And that's ALL we will say about what else we did there. After Holland we took the train down the Rhine River and had a birthday party for Tammy in a little German town with plenty of charm and of course a castle. From there we took the night train to Vienna and then jumped over to Venice where we had our first and only day of rain. Rain sort of takes the fun out of Venice because none of the dueling orchestras are out. Rick Steves blew it here. Our room was as small as a postage stamp and the strangest color scheme I've ever seen. Chad and Tony talked us into stopping over in Bologna to see the Ducati museum and then we went down to Rome. More great shopping and oh ya there was the colliseum and all that old Roman stuff. Rome is wonderful. We changed our plans a little here and decided o go to Sorrento rather than the Chinque Tera. We had beautiful weather so we could spend a little time on the beach and after we got out of the tool shed and got our beautiful rooms with a view of the Bay of Naples we were living well. The tool shed story goes like this. When Tony and I were there in 04, we camped in a nice campground with some charming little cabins. We tought we were going back there, but it turned out to be the nasty, sleezy, grimey campground down the road with toolsheds (no kidding tool sheds) for cabins. What can you do? Into every trip a little rain must fall. While we were in Sorrento we visited Pompei and the Isle of Capri. Then it was time to get back on the night train and head for London where we parted with Tammy and Chad. They were flying out to LA from there and we are now back in Hinckley for a few days with our English family and then we fly home on the 28th. It was a real dream come true trip and having Tammy and Chad join us was the best. So from San Francisco on February 8th, across the Big Pond to Portugal, through Spain, Germany, Slovania, Croatia, Austria, Italy, France, Bermuda, Azores, Netherlands and England to today, it has been and amazing time. Thanks to everyone who stuck with us on the web site. It really made us feel close to home. Farewell from Off Exploring.........for now anyway!!!!!

I can´t believe we are almost finished with this journey. Time to settle down and do some work now. We are in Spain working our way across to Portugal and then down to Lagos where we will leave the car and go meet Tammy and Chad in Paris. Has anyone heard from Joyce? I can´t get through to her on the phone. How are Laura and Jeff doing on the house? Has anyone got a job for Me? We´ll stay in touch as much as the internet sites will allow. Love to all. See you soon.

Hello from jolly old England. We are back at our friend's home in Hinckley. We took the ferry over from France to drop off our huge bags. We will go back to Lagos from here and return the little car then fly to Lisbon and from Lisbon to Paris where we will meet Tammy and Chad for the last leg of the journey. We are looking forward to seeing everyone when we get home. I am posting some pictures so check out the photo album. Cheers

Wanted to chime in and say hello and we miss you and are tracking you here often. We are having a quiet summer. It has been beautiful weather after the big heat spell. We went to visit Michael's folks in Oregon for a few days. We bought a pick up (used) that rides really well so Michael traveled comfortably. Hope the rest of your trip is fabulous and you come back well and hale. Love, Nancy and Michael

Tony,
I did call the Marin Yacht Club, but they have hired someone. If anything else comes up that might be interesting enough for you, I'll definitely let you know and if you want, call on your behalf. Sharon: Adam says you will be coming back 9/28 or thereabouts. I hope we have something you would like, but not in Marin. Right now, all are San Francisco or East Bay but that can change any time. Call anytime, of course: (415) 789-5989. Love you both. p.s. We had drinks & eats with Adam, Liege, Priscilla, Ricardo & kids on Wednesday. It's true: Adam's deck is absolutely gorgeous!

Went up to Grassvalley for a wedding and to see the Jeff & Laura's new house. Blew off the wedding to stay and help Jeff lay down the 2x6 decking around the outside of the house. The house is VERY cool and will be great for family Christmas. Miss you a lot. I keep missing your dang phone calls.
Chad
Nevermind. I called & as long as you're over 26 it didn't matter... Sharon... You are over 26... right???
Chad
