Day 40 Sydney

G'day mates!

I had mixed feelings on arriving in Sydney; we were saying goodbye to Gail and Barry who we'd just spent the last 40 days with, looking forward to seeing Nev, Kate and Sharon and feeling ever so slightly homesick! When I saw Kate and her 'baby bump' I was very homesick for Helen and baby Eric!

We spent a glorious day in Sydney, the sun came out, the temperature rose and we went to Bondi beach. What more can you wish for.

Lunch was in an amazing burger place called Bite Me, where we drank, ate and people watched. We were sat opposite the beach. I then spotted Mavis on the top of a bus and thought I really must stop drinking during the day! Nev drove us around a beautiful area called Rose Bay (where celebs live!), a quick stop at Luna Park to take photos across the harbour, and another drink of course, then to Darling Harbour, more drinks then more food!

We said a fond farewell to our Ozzie mates then went and said another goodbye to our ex-ship mates.

We set sail at midnight yelling and shouting to everyone who we were leaving behind.

Next stop Brisbaine and lunch with the rellies
