Day 25 Honolulu
Last night we had a delicious meal in the Penants Grill with the officer from our table. We had to say goodbye to Gordon because he's been unwell and the antibiotics haven't been working. We wish you well and hope for a speedy recovery.
We finally arrived in Honolulu after 4 days at sea and they weren't very calm or sunny! As we'd been twice before, we decided to really relax and go to the Royal Hawaiian hotel and have lunch on their terrace. I ate the biggest juiciest burger I'd had in a long time, Phil was very healthy and had snow crab and HUGE prawns.
We sat for about two hours just enjoying people watching and the rain! Fortunately when it rains in the pacific islands it's a 5 minutes downpour then over and forgotten for half an hour then rain again.
Back on board for an amazing sail away party. We were all on the aft decks with Union Jacks singing Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem, all the usual Last Night at The Prom songs and finished with We Are Sailing! Everyone was so happy to be there. I have to give it to P & O, they do the best sail aways.
We have another four days at sea (hope the weather warms up!).
See you in Pago Pago, pronounced Pango Pango!
