Hi all

After meeting Kathy for lunch yesterday I went back to Times Square for some retail therapy.? Fortunatley, the budget traveller in me held me back so I went to the cinema instead! Saw Spiderman 3 - can't recall seeing a 2nd one but it was either that or something called Ming Ming!

Flight was ok from Hong Kong except no TV - what's that all about?? There was a big projector screen at the end of the plane - like I'm going to be able to see that with my batty eyes!

Now in Brisbane and have been here since 9.30 this morning.  Thought I was going to scream with excitement when someone said G'day to me!  Managed to control myself though! Waiting for my flight to Christchurch at 17.15 so am starting to feel like Tom Hanks in that film The Terminal. Managed to have a shower so at least I don't smell (well, I don't think I do!)

Looking forward to checking in my bag, it's so heav - 1 more hour to go and then I can and then I'll be off to find a cosy corner to have a sleep in. 

I feel like my travels have truly begun now and am looking forward to getting to NZ.
