I had a great time meeting all of my Eurasia Team comrades. Apparently, vodka drinking should be part of the job description. Luckily, it was not part of the interview process. I picked up my year-long multi-entry visa from the Kyrgyz embassy. The stamp takes up an entire page in my passport. The Kyrgyz office staff went to the State Department to give them the state of affairs in Bishkek. Since, I don't know anything yet - I just listened. Thanks to Mike, my cousin Cecilia's husband, I had great Mexican food (and drink) before I left the continent to head out to the region.
