Well I have exactly 1 month left on my travels - I can´t believe it!!!! Am back in Argentina and it is great to be back. Paula left me yesterday which was really sad but I will be seeing her again in just over 4 weeks. We finally got our bags back late on Thursday night and crossed the border over to Argentina that night. The following day we went to the Argentinian side of Iguazu falls. We went on a boat trip which took us under the 2nd biggest waterfall and it was hilarious. We got absolutely drenched but it was so cool looking up at the falls from underneath it! Had a mad dash around the park to try to see the falls as we arrived late in the afternoon and only got to see them from very far away as the train to get close had stopped for the day, which was a real diappointment - but they looked great from far away! So glad I got to see the Brazilian side, which had more panoramic views. For our last night together we had a steak at the hotel but it wasn´t the greatest which was a shame - but the red wine made up for it!!
Had a stressful morning on Saturday trying to book my flight to Salta and had to leave Paula earlier than expected, with half of my clothes, souveniers etc (thanks Paula my bag is incredibly light now!!!) After another mission at the airport, including having to book 2 new flights and almost losing my bag again, I arrived in Salta at 8pm and met up with a friend from my Spanish school. We went out for dinner in town which was really lovely and I crashed out as it had been an exhausting few weeks! My friend left for Chile this morning and I am yet again in a 6 bed room by myself - I think I must smell!!! The hostel is a bit naff but the staff are extremely helpful which is great. Can´t get a bus to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile until Tuesday which is a bit of a pain but I am using the time to plan my days before I start my trip in Bolivia on 12th!!! Went exploring around Salta today which is a pretty place. Climbed 1070 steps to the top of a mountain which had amazing views of the city (decided not to take the cable car as need to get in practice for the Inca Trail!) Had a wander round a market and after walking what seemed like 20k in the blazing heat I went back to the hostel. Got to be up at 6am tomorrow morning as I am going on a trip to Humahuaca to see the mountains and surrounding villages. I then leave for Chile at 7am on Tuesday and it will be a very busy few days getting to Bolivia, seeing the salt flats and getting to La Paz for my tour!! Can´t wait!!!!!! xx
