Its been a while and i have loads to tell.
Since Auckland we have been to Whitanga (Mercury Bay) where by we stayed there for two nights. We arrived with a group which was our first experience on the Kiwi Experience bus. Lisa was hungover from the night before as we had cleverly had a heavy one the night before in Auckland! Fun times though!!!
We went to a beach called hot sands of which when u dug a whole or dug your feet into the sand the water was boiling hot! It was uber toasty and was kinder sereal standing on a windy beach with everyone bathing in these boiling hot pools! It was well good. We also went to Coverdale caves of which these really are the most beautiful beaches i have seen to date.
Whitanga was a lil seaside village not far from the hot sands beach.
On the Friday night we went to watch the rugby match New Zealand v South Africa in a local pub, of which New Zealand got dicked! So that wasnt to great but we hung around the bar and had a fairly merry night again and we single handedly got the bus driver pissed as everyone else had gone to bed!! ha!! Go team!!
The next day we left for Rototrua of which on our way we visited Hobbitan where by some of the sets of Lord of the Rings still stand.
Rototorua is where the geo thermal pools stand so we went to a Hells Gate to bath in the sulphuric pools and mud baths. We really stank and im still trying to wash the stench of my body now!!! But at least im nicely exfoliated! ha!! Its just Lisa's natural smell so im pretty used to it!!
We also did Zorbing! Of which me and lis basically, went in a great big ball with water in and got rolled down a hill!! It was so ace, i just kept laughing and acreaming getting a mouth full of water at the end, but well worth it!
We also went to a tribal dinner in the evening where by were learnt about the Maori culture and had a massive dinner cooked in the Maori way of underground.
Yesterday we did a Swoop, which me and lisa were hoisted up and swung! It was basicaly a cheap version of doing a bungy jump. But still way fun!
Today being the 17th September we went black water rafting in the caves in Whitamoa & did SKYDIVE people! Yep a friggin SKYDIVE!! We have a had an extreme day of events!
If Mr O is reading this then when we went in the caves we saw glow worms! Whoop! & there bascially magets and the glowing is there poop!! So theres a couple of facts for ya when your strolling along in a drunken state!!! ha!!
Back to the skydive, this was so good!! It was all so quick and before you new it you were back down on the ground. There was a point whereby i couldnt catch my breath which was a lil scary but i did the classic superman pose!! Got the DVD so all can watch when im back. Its pretty darn hilarious!!
For now were staying in Taupo and nearing the end of the north island. Heard so much about the souht so cant wait.
This is the Foz signing out.
