Laurel here… Nick & I head out for a wonderful morning walk along the promenade of the beach at Summerstrand where we are staying. There are quite a few people out exercising and enjoying the morning and we feel perfectly safe. It is so lovely to be walking again after weeks of sitting in our vehicles! Nick here... Last night we stayed at the Tsitsikamma Village Inn located at Storms River. Best description I can give this venue is that the rooms were very simple and rustic with each room named after a farm animal. Our room being the Cow room, the TImo's the Sheep room. John here... We farewelled Swellendam and it was my turn at the wheel. We headed for Mossell Bay for a coffee, quick walk along the waterside and a very quick tour of the manned lighthouse which was closed for maintenance. We drove through Robinson Pass which cuts through the Ruiterbos Valley, linking Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn and this trip through the Outeniqua Mountains as part of the famous Garden Route did not disappoint once again for beauty.
