The weather today was cloudy, odd snow showers and bitterly cold as we walked up the street but more pleasing as we walked back down with the wind behind us. As it was Monday more shops were open so we did some window shopping - most sold arctic or outdoor gear - there was one unique shop selling items made from sustainable skins - great for this climate but in the UK I would overheat in minutes! We did however buy some good socks and felt insoles not seen in the UK but very handy for wellies as they later proved onboard the boat.
In the evening we walked to the gym - I decided a 90 minute session was needed on the bike riding hard (my London-Paris challenge is less than a week away!) John came armed with his puzzle book and an understanding that this was a two hour session. He said the time flew - I am not sure I can say the same as I did my ride not by time but by kilometres - I set it for 40 but every time it reached 59 I thought I had completed the kilometre but then remember this was not minutes and I had to reach 99 before it ticked over!! Cycle and stretch completed I had a lovely hot shower and we walked back to the hotel - seeing today's picture - the reindeer enroute.
