We left the camp just after 8 am and headed to the airstrip to catch our flights to Ensenada and then the coach to the border. Before leaving we said our goodbyes to the guides, then Mark and Chris who were staying and getting ready for the next group who we passed at Ensenada. At Ensenada John and I also met Nick, one of the Wildlife Worldwide directors who was out doing a recce - we had met him at the Destinations Show at Earls Court a couple of weeks ago.
The border crossing was the quickest this season - it only took 30 minutes - it could take up to 2.5 hours!
So feeling lucky we arrived at the hotel just after three but had to wait until 4pm for our room to be ready - 541 - the same as before we left! We had a nice relaxing evening I went to the gym while John re packed then we had a lovely meal at the restaurant on site - I had quinoa for the first time it was served with salmon a light sauce, cranberries and pecans and was really tasty. John went for the more traditionally but equally tasty chicken, mash and veggies.
(Today's photo is of the hapless osprey we passed every day and who had made her nest on top of an old outside loo!)
