We had snow last weekend! You'll certainly need some warm clothes when you come back. Rosy and Matt went ice skating at Somerset House yesterday. OK, pretend ice.
I hope you have a safe journey back, although it sounds very long indeed. Make sure you ring me to make a date for a gossip!
Love Kathy

Good evening from grey and over cast Suffolk - you know how BSE always does so well in the Britain in Bloom competition ... you don't think some of the local politicos are using spare cash for the same kind of reasons they are in PNG!!?
Found your latest blog particularly amusing .. and your recent Friday sounds like you are both continuing to have fun! BUT you sound in good spirits and the cough medicine will help those difficcult days just a little!
Will be speaking with P and A a little later this evening to chat about Christmas and look forward to seeing - have you been able to follow the RL WC? Is RL the main sport in PNG?
Be safe

Avocado bacon and tomato salad? Chicken and avocado stroganoff? Well I haven't tried the last one but it's an idea. POn tghis grey damp November Sunday I wouldn't mind picking avocadoes although I could do without the civil unrest that goes with it.
We have our own challenge with a surfeit of Bramleys. We're giving them away at the bottom of the drive. Roll on summer Love Kathy

Hi there - have just read through the latest blog -if ever the RSPCA are short of work we will direct them to the goings on in PNG! In service training also sounds like a bundle of fun ... although we do envy you those fresh mangos and pineapples!
Also note that you are looking forward to your Christmas break - do / (and how) they celebrate in PNG? Not surprisingly a number of TV adverts have appeared on TV and one or two supermarkets are already stocking items directed at the festive season!
British schools are soon to start half term and we are looking forward to a few days in London, including a chance to get together with Emily and Ben.... where we will update them of some of your adventures!
Be safe
Lots of love

Hi J & J
Still sounds like your having a wonderful time. This are good here still in Managed Services 2 days a week which suits me really well. Ben is doing great 21 months now can't believe it he's very entertaining but not of a night when he doesn't sleep which is every night....
John - it would be lovely to see you when you are home for Christmas I know you will be a very busy man catching up with every one.
Thinking of you both

You know what they say about change; you've really got to want to do it yourself! External motivation can only do so much although a kick up the backside might be appropriate in some cases, from what you write. Best of luck!
We have had great weather this weekend and actually had a barbecue, which has been hardly possible all through the summer. Off to Brittany next week for some R and R and then working all November. I like this part time working.
Hope to catch up with you at Christmas. love Kathy

Hi there J and J.
Just been catching up with cabbage watching and the plans for the administration block - will be interested to see if they spot the deliberate mistakes.
We were over in BSE over the weekend and enjoyed a really good night out with P and A - nice meal at Clarise (sp?) House and a chance to catch up on news.
Despite a spell of really good weather the leaves are beginning to turn colour in UK and Autumn begins to make its impact on daylight hours. Suspect the shops will be soon turning attention to Christmas - PNG is proably a mite less commercialised than UK?.. and hope there may be time for us to catch up when you are back in December.
Look forward to next blog!

Dear John and Jacqui-- I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I just recently got the blog address from Bill and Jenny and have enjoyed reading about your adventures. I know your accommodations aren't spectacular (too put it mildly) but please know Russet House is doing well and is being enjoyed fully. My mother is visiting and giving your garden, especially the roses, extra care and attention. The birds and hedgehogs are well fed and providing cheap entertainment in return. Please take care and let us know if you need anything.

Hi John and Jacqui - hope you are both well and have recovered from your return flights to PNG. We both send our very sincere condolences for your sad loss - although we are sure you enjoyed catching up with the family and the latest addition to the Rosenthals.
It does not surprise us that everyone at the school was pleased to see you - as you appear to making your mark! and am sure there will be lots more to do before you return home for a brief visit near Christmas. We saw Paul and Ann over the summer and Paul joined Dennis for an enjoyable Golf Day just before term started.
Look forward to reading the next chapter of the blog.
