Hi guys - have caught up with the latest blog and must write that we hope that Jacqui has fully recovered!
Dead pigs .. racial tension .. and violence after rugby league matches .. never a dull moment in PNG! Although I did notice, on the plus side, that your holiday is approaching and we wondered if you were likely to go to Australia??
Dennis is four weeks away from the start of his break but not quite counting the days and Sarah has decided which weeks she is going to take. Dennis, Paul, Clarkie and Mike Hunt played golf together on a recent golf day .. great fun and lots of banter.
Ben and Emily well and we hope to spend a day or two together over the summer.
Lots of love .. be safe
Kathy
Please try never to get to get used to the child beating. After all what are black weevils compared with that? Actually, what are black weevils? At least you've got some interactive lessons going which is a great triumph. You're sounding a lot calmer about the demands for money and the tribal violence in the villages. Ihope the UK won't be too boring for you when you come home.
Here at Avondale I'm busy planting flowers for the wedding in July. We're having a heatwave this weekend (probably all the summer we're going to get) and the garden is like a dust bowl. Hardly any rain for a month. I'm working for the next three weeks and then that's it until September. I feel very spoilt, but also very content.
It's always great to hear your news; keep on writing please.
Love Kathy

Hi John and Mrs John (!)
Just caught up with the blog - there is obviously never a dull moment in PNG! Interested to note the number of missed lessons .. at a time when schools in the UK are moving to a concept that teachers should rarely cover for absent colleagues. Also, given the state of the roads we wonder what the requirements are for driving. .. do drivers have to pass a test?
Half term is fast approaching and we are both looking forward to a break ... the kitchen is now finished and the builders will soon be turning their attentions to the hall and lounge. We are also hoping for some consistently warm weather!!
Take care
Lots of love from us all.

Hope this brief message finds you both well. Interesting photo article in the Sunday Times about PNG today - you could probably see it online - several spectacular photos as well as a number of revealing statistics.
The house resembles a building site at the moment and most of the day has been spent decorating our room. We hope everything will be completed by the end of August!!
Noticed that P and A are skiing but hope to catch up with them towards the end of the hols.
Spring has sprung over the weekend with glorious weather and the media are beginning to consider the domestic cricket season ... given proximity to Australia we wonder whether this is a sport popular in PNG?
Be safe!
Lots of love from us both

Been reading your blogs with interest but I don't think I could cope with those spiders!! We are off to Breckenridge skiing again on Saturday and can't wait! Em not coming as busy with rehearsals and auditions. Will be strange without her!
Hope you enjoy your break! Take lotsa care!

Good evening J and J
Have just read the latest blog - plane spotting - and found the punch line which had caused the mayhem outside in the post script. It all sounds just like an episode of a soap. Jacqui ... I'm sure there is scope for a pilot episode from your blogs!!
The last few weeks seem to have flown by and we seem to rapidly be moving towards Easter, when we hope the weather is more settled.
Hope Jacqui's sex education lessons continue to go well!!
Be safe! Lots of love

Good morning
Your day out at the seaside sounds like a fun!! Not sure we would have enjoyed such long journeys - but dolphins at breakfast would have made up for it. The bags for toasted sarnies also sound a good idea.
Just started half term and the work on the house has just begun, so there is a lot of banging as the sun room is demolished - but at least the weather has improved over the last two days. Dennis has a golf day to look forward to on Friday and we are meeting up with Em and Ben in London on Wednesday.
Keep the blogs going and take care.
Love from us all

Hi John
Sorry we didnt get to see you over the festive break but really good to hear that you are back at work and by the sounds of it adding calm to a difficult situation(?) I must say that I am not certain you will be very tollerant as it happens but fingers crossed---- :-)
Gina and I will just have to wait until you make plans to come back to the UK again before we can go for that pie and a pint. You take care and keep the blog going.
