Hanoi 3
One of my favourite things about travelling is when you click instantly with people you meet. We met a group of English travellers in our room and they had lots in common with us. Similar unis/age and had mutual friends. They were planning to live in melbourne after their travels so of course I got babbling away to them about my experience there. Emma, will and Ferg were an interesting group travelling together. Will was uber laid back and was often out the latest and in bed the longest. Emma was very similar minded to us and we spent a lot of time with her that eve when we went out.
We spent the whole day with their group. It was nice to slot in and both get on with them all. We had a quite fancy lunch and a hilarious dinner with them which lead to drinks. We really like the woman serving us at dinner, she was so friendly and chatty making sure our experience was the best it could be. We sat there for a while chatting away. Will even jokily flirted with the waitress who then couldn’t stop laughing. That evening we drank at the hostel and it was packed. But the music was great so we just danced despite the heat and how sweaty we were getting. All in all a great end to northern Vietnam and we were ready to move on from Hanoi.
