This is a central plaza with a wonderful view of some of the modern buildings that Abu Dhabi are so rightly proud of. It was odd however to see towels hanging outsie of some of the windows in such a prestigious spot. unfortunately due to the height of the buildings I only managed to get about 50% in the photo.

We joined our first organised tour which started with a trip to the F1 stadium displaying the Fereiri symbol on the roof and even a roof shaped like a racing car. Just so much wealth and ingenuity is evident throughout Abu Dhabi.

As part of the second and last formal evening they organised a midnight buffet "Buffet under the stars". the food looked very impressive with some wonderful vegetable carvings and an ice carving demonstration. The picture features an octopus on ice which was very novel. Despite the attractiveness of the food we could not eat any more other than a morsel, but were well impressed with those who after a 6 course meal still found the room!

Last night the waiters dressed in the italian theme and put on a dancing show as well as dancing with selected guests. The entertainment was a troupe of Chinese acrobats who were quite astounding. We later sampled a pub singer who sang a medley of all the Brit's favourites, even had the room singing long way to Tipperary with 4 part harmonies. Graham was in great voice, thanks to having made heavy inroads into the wine and beer packages.
