Following a thoroughly crazy night of dancing till the early hours with the best of all bottoms! preceded by a super 6 course meal and a.fantastic show with a wild variety of colourful dancing- ballet, breakdancing, charleston etc. Cathy and I rather over indulged ourselves on the ultra delicious cocktail of the day which did wonders for our dancing style. Tonight we took a taxi to the Trunk of Palms and met Geoffrey for a meal. The location was superb with views across the water with the Burj Al Arab on the horizon. We ate outside with patio heaters to keep us warm. It was good to see Geoffrey after what we decided was 4 years. We were also treated to a bit of a tour of Dubai which was surreal.

After an interesting taxi ride as this was our first visit to Dubai we arrived at Gustav restaurant to meet Geoffrey. We were bold over by the architecture of the modern buildings. Seeing them for real was completely different from pictures or films, but despite this it seemed necessary to keep telling oneself it was not a mirage but a real scene.

This is us arriving at the ship Costa Luminosa. The first impression is impressive but one very much of a hotel afloat rather than a nautical vessel.
