This was taken with a picture of Ferrari World in the background. the whole building is modeled on a ferrari car with the inside as a theme park. We did not get to see the inside but maybe next time...

This is the headgear worn by the ladies. It was a surprise to find it was not made of metal as it appears, but a linen composite that is quite soft and comfortable. We were educated on the clothes worn by Arab men and women that dispelled some myths for us. It appears that in Abu Dhabi the Arab women are not as repressed in the way we imagined, but in many wasy are quite liberated and very well educated. We travelled to the top of the tower in the centre of the shopping centre. the tower had a restaurant with a 360 degree breath taking panoramic view of the Abu Dhabi land and coastline. We were just so impressed and could not get over how lucky we were to have found this restaurant for a coffee. We indulged ourselves with coffee, cake and hot chocolate. Finding this place was a true highlight of the trip.

This is a picture of the truly magnificent Palace hotel. Built initially as a palace and then they decided to make it into a hotel. We were told there is no chance of entering the hotel without atleast a meal reservation. Apparently coffees are served with gold leaf on the top!
