Hi all, Just an update on what we have been up to. After leaving Wellington we headed to Taupo, which is the start of the volcanic region, I really liked Taupo as there was lots to do etc. We did lots of things here including the craters of the moon which was excellent, it is a heathland landscape with hot steam rising from the grounds, releasing pressure from the underground. We have arrived on the North Island of New Zealand!! The ferry over from picton to Wellington was the slowest ferry i have ever been on!!! it took 3 and a half hours to cross the cook strait which i could of swam faster!!!  It was pritty though as it went though queen charlotte sound so there were lots of lovely mountains. Hi all, Just an update on what we have been doing: We went to Queenstown which was lots of fun and went on the shotover jet, its a very fast speed boat on the shotover river.  The boat was lots of fun and we got completely drentched!!! i have some photos which i shall show you when we're home. After that we went to Fox Glacier which was pritty.  We did a guided hike up the glacier which was good but hard work.  It took nearly 2 hours of walking before...

We are in Te Anau which is a nice quiet place. We went to see the gloworms in the caves which was really good.  We took a boat over to the caves and got a guided walk through the caves which were really lovely, with water falls inside.  We then got on a small boat in the cave and it was pitch black and the guide had the pull the boat along.  As it was so dark you could see the gloworms really well.
