I'm currently living life on the Gili Islands, which literally translates to 'small islands'. It took me about an hour to get here by boat from Bali, and life on these islands is 100x better than what I experienced in Bali. Bali was cool for what it was, but here is so much quieter, and the other travellers and locals are much friendlier. The island I'm on has a mere population of just 700 and it's only like 3kmx2km so it's easy to find your feet. My flight out...

Okay so now I've just dropped my bags off at a hostel in Bali, there's no air con or hot water, so I'm currently in the process of looking for something better. The food and weather out here is amazing. I'm returing back to Singapore in 2 weeks in time for my onward flight to the land of Oz. I don't mind being hassled my locals to buy their cheap crap, but when it's literally one after the other, 24 hours a day, it starts to annoy you a little. So with that said...

So the hostel I was in was fully booked for Grand Prix weekend so I had to move to another one in Little India which wasn't too far away. The surroundings are pretty lame though, just Indian food stalls everywhere and that's it. So after discovering that the average pint of beer costs around $14 (7 quid), I nearly jumped straight in to the river and ended my trip there. Singapore is a really expensive place and it's draining me of my funds, but I'm really enjoying my time here. Okay so after many s***ty movies, sleepless hours, masses of small talk and one heavily turbulant flight, I've made it to my first destination, Singapore!
