we have been travelling around a lot in the north of Vietnam and have seen so much in just 5 days. we are currently in Sapa in the north of Vietnam, near to the Chinese border and we are doing a lot of treking!! we went to Halong Bay on Tuesday and had a seafood lunch on a private boat after having swum in the sea surrounded by limestone mountains!! beautiful!! we came to Sapa very early this morning after traveling on a sleeper train from Hanoi so im very knackered as i didnt get much sleep and then we went straight out for a morning hike up and down the mountains!!! we met some of the villager tribal women who were wonderful to talk with and the girls all latched on to us all holding our hands and calling us sisters and brothers!! it was really sweet!! we are staying in a hotel tonight and tomorrow before heading to a more remote area to stay with the villagers there which should be a really good experience. I have included more pictures of us on the journal so i hope that keeps you happy for now!! i have real problems with my camera at the mo as it is eating its way through my rechargable battery power so so quickly so Charlotte is the one taking most of the piccies and we have no card reader to upload her pictures!!! we will get them onto disk asap and then upload some of hers so you will get to see me at my worst a bit more often. if you have small children i would advise you do not show them the pictures of me as i think they may give them nightmares!!!!!!
